Meet Our Trainers: Eugene Byron Liberty

Please tell us about yourself and your experience so far as a trainer.

I am Eugene, also known as Gino. At 39 years old, I proudly consider myself a father, a friend, and a pillar of support to many. I joined HGS in March 2025, and my experience since then has been nothing short of exceptional. Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of engaging with and learning from countless individuals who have passed through my training room. I remain deeply passionate about sharing my knowledge, guiding others, and supporting their development. I truly love the work I do, and I am proud to say that I envision my long-term future—and ultimately my retirement—here at HGS South Africa.

What’s a pro-tip you would share with those attending your training sessions?

My top advice to those attending my training sessions is to keep an open mind and maintain a strong student mentality, as we continuously take learning to new heights. I strive to make every session engaging, fun, and interactive while ensuring that a solid foundation of all training material is thoroughly embedded.

What about HGS do you share with your trainees?

I only ever share positive and constructive feedback with my trainees, and while they sometimes ask, “Are you just saying this to get our buy-in?” I can assure them that HGS’s dedication to its staff is genuine. I have witnessed firsthand the organization’s wholehearted commitment to the well-being and development of its people. HGS is in a league of its own, incomparable to any other BPO, and we are truly a force to be reckoned with.

What are you known for among your trainees?

My trainees often describe me as empathetic, compassionate, and authentic. They feel comfortable approaching me not only for guidance related to work but also for advice and support on matters beyond the workplace.
