My Tech Idol by Amit Patni

Amit specializes in Robotic Process Automation and Intelligent Automation. Driven by a deep passion for automation technologies and perpetual enhancement, he firmly believes that continuous improvement and automation are indispensable to today’s business environment. Here’s what he has to say about his Tech Idol.

My Tech Idol is

Alan Turing

Alan Turing is known for

Being the ‘Father of Artificial Intelligence’. He is also known for the famous Turing Test, a way to determine a machine’s ability to exhibit intelligent behavior distinguishable from that of humans.

My first memory of Alan Turing

From the film The Imitation Game. It is based on the life and accomplishments of Alan Turing, shedding light on his contributions to code-breaking, computing, and the challenges he faced in his personal life. The movie was a compelling starting point for me to further explore Turing’s work and the lasting impact he has had on the field of technology.

Three ways Alan Turing has inspired me

Intellectual brilliance: His ability to think outside the box and tackle complex mathematical and computational challenges serves as a reminder of the power of intellect and critical thinking.

Innovations in computing: Turing's ideas on computation, algorithms, and Artificial Intelligence continue to influence technological advancements, inspiring others to push the boundaries of what is possible in the realm of computing.

Courage to challenge Norms: His personal struggles, particularly regarding his sexuality, highlight his courage to challenge societal norms and prejudices. His story serves as a reminder of the importance of embracing diversity and inclusivity, and the impact that individuals can make by staying true to themselves.

One question I would ask Alan Turing at a dinner party and why

It would be regarding his unfinished investigation into Morphogenesis, the emergence of intricate patterns and structures within biological systems, and Cryptography. I believe that integrating these areas of study with neural networks could lead to groundbreaking discoveries, potentially enabling the earlier utilization of AI in the medical realm.
