HGS: Tell us about your education and experience.
George: I have a post-graduate degree in Human Resource Management from Loyola College, Chennai. I’ve been with HGS for close to five years now, taking care of end-to-end recruitment.
HGS: What are some must-have qualities you look for in candidates applying to HGS?
George: We look for candidates with the right attitude towards work, and those who are willing to learn new things. Of course, they need to have the required skills for the job, to enable our collective growth. But, in our line of business where processes and technologies are continually evolving, we need people who can learn proactively and deliver customer delight consistently.
HGS: What would be your pro tip for potential candidates?
George: Be willing to put in the work and commitment to achieve success. This is an organization where your work speaks for itself. Being in customer service, we are also very appreciative of a positive attitude.
HGS: What is a question you never miss asking?
George: I always ask my candidates what their ambition in life is. For many of us, HGS has helped us realize our professional and personal goals. When candidates tell me about their career goals, it feels great to let them know that they’ve come to the right place.
HGS: What do you tell your candidates about the culture at HGS?
