Dear 22-Year-Old Me.
Dear Boban.
You're about to dive into the wild world of work exciting stuff! While you'll definitely blaze your own trail (and maybe trip a few times along the way), here are a few hard-earned nuggets of wisdom that might just save you a headache or two.
Invest in Deep Learning - Not Fast Learning.
Focus on understanding core principles algorithms, systems design, and architecture. Don't rush to master every new framework. These will outlast trends.
Collaborate, mentor, and be mentored.
The people you work with will shape your career as much as the projects you build.
Protect Your Curiosity.
Stay curious about how things work— both in tech and in people. Curiosity is your most renewable resource.
Balance Is a Skill.
Burnout doesn't make you a hero. Learn to rest, delegate. and say no when needed. Your future self will thank you.
Write More
Whether it is documentation, design specs, or just journaling your thoughts – writing clarifies thinking and multiplies your impact.
Ask "Why?" More Than "How?"
Understanding the why behind decisions, systems, needs. and strategies will help you elevate you to the next level through your career.
“Never stop questioning” – Albert Einstein said.
Powerful questions are the ones that can lead to meaningful reflections.
