With his unique blend of strategic leadership and commitment to finding balance in everyday life, Tushar shares valuable insights on leading with purpose. Ready to dive in? Let's get to the chat.
Unknown Speaker B: If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
Tushar Sharan: The one superpower that I would like to have is to be able to read minds. And I believe there isn't anything more powerful than to be able to read the minds of people that you're talking to or people around you—to be able to find out what exactly they're thinking, what is behind what they are saying. So I think that's a superpower that I would definitely love to have.
Unknown Speaker B: What's the one mantra you live by?
Tushar Sharan: Yeah, so I have one mantra each for my personal and my professional life. On the personal front, I think my mantra is to live and let live. On the professional side, I believe in "I fail and we succeed," and I often say that to my team members, that unless it's a team, we can't succeed. So I fail and we succeed.
Unknown Speaker B: What do you do to unwind over the weekends?
Tushar Sharan: Yeah, so one of my hobbies is singing, and there isn't a bigger stress buster for me. Music itself is a huge stress buster for me. So to be able to sing songs that I like—I think that's something that I do to unwind. I also do it on weekdays at times when I've had a not too bad, not too good a day. So yeah, singing is something I do to unwind.
[The episode ends with Tushar singing a couple of lines from an Elvis Presley song.]
