JOB PURPOSE:


The purpose of this position is to support corporate revenue growth and increased market share by managing the execution and implementation of the company's Inside Sales team to achieve sales goals.  The Business Development Director will manage and oversee the Business Development Representatives so that HGS sales goals and objectives are achieved.



Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Lead by example, driving the rest of their team to achieve expected results.
  • Ensure that the high standards of the organization are maintained and enforced when necessary.
  • Recruit and train team members, who are usually made up of people from varying backgrounds, and different levels of experience.
  • Requires someone who is an expert in the industry, as they will have to handle tasks that will require in-depth know how of the prevailing trends.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and associates.
  • Create and communicate sales goals and deliver against the daily, monthly, and annual pipeline goals
  • Monitor activities like total inbound/outbound contact time, daily activity, average daily transactions, total social interactions, and average daily conversions.
  • Frequently conduct reviews of performance with the team. This is to ensure the team’s alignment to the plan. And to report performance to enterprise stakeholders.
  • Meet or exceed team sales quotas, and to develop pipeline forecasts through effective management of the team.
  • Partner with marketing, sales and account management teams to identify new business targets
  • Align and coordinate with the Marketing Campaigns and Event Directors on the campaign calendar
  • Identify tools and technologies required for the team’s successful productivity and trackability
  • Maintaining and coaching an understanding of HGS solutions, value proposition and competitors as well as industry-specific trends and landscapes
  • Communicate value to prospective clients
  • Assist with other business development activities as needed

Minimum jOB Requirements: (Education, Experience, Skills)

 

  • ·         Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sales/Marketing or related field or equivalent experience preferred
  • ·         10+ years of business-to-business sales or client service experience with responsibility for identifying new revenue opportunities
  • ·         2+ years of sales management experience
  • ·         Salesforce experience required
  • ·         Intermediate proficiency in PC computer software, to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • ·         Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of employees
  • ·         Strong analytics and organizational skills
  • ·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • ·         Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • ·         Experience in BPO or Digital CX preferred
