The Compliance Specialist is responsible to provide appropriate access to and protect the confidentiality and integrity of customer, employee, and business information in compliance with organization policies and standards.  This role will support and drive outcomes for all assigned client initiatives related to compliance performance, including responsibility for any remediation plans. 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • HealthCare Compliance – performing compliance duties related to Client and CMS Compliance.

·         Analyzes performance data and ensures mandatory reporting, including short call monitoring, Inventory Management SVL and tasks, WAH compliance, Complaints, Appeals and Grievance handling, Ethics and Required training completion and Test Calls, is completed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as needed to assess outcome and operational metrics for the team and individuals related to Client and CMS compliance. 

  • Update and educate staff on program specific policies and procedures; provides interpretation and escalates to leadership team when needed.
  • Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards; assists in prioritization and timing of work.

·         Implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives to improve work performance.

  • Assisting in planning for Business Continuity, Risk Management and creation Remediation plans.
  • Security Training – ensuring all sites are in compliance with all security training
  • Access Management – for their respective areas – ensuring all sites are verifying access every month
  • Conduct Vulnerability scanning
  • Conduct system log reviews
  • Assisting Information Security and Compliance Officer with audit prep – for their respective areas
  • Physical Security Audit – performing the physical security for their perspective areas on an annual basis
  • Monthly Security Bulletins and checklists
  • Coordinates activities related to audits for annual compliance as listed below:
    • FISMA-NIST
    • GLBA
    • HIPAA
    • ISAE 3402/3412
    • ISO 27001
    • ISO 9001
    • PCI DSS 3.2
    • SSAE16
    • SOX

 

 

 

QUALIFICATOINS AND REQUIREMENTS:
•    High school diploma or equivalent

•    Exceptional written and verbal communication

•    Able to assimilate data, identify risks/opportunities and present solutions

•    Ability to develop, implement and evaluate programs designed to influence compliance adherence and performance

•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook 

•    Highly organized and a strong attention to detail, including time sensitive work

•    2-5 Years’ experience in Operations/Compliance
