Job Description

The HR Administrator is responsible for maintaining and auditing the personnel databases.  This includes training the HR staff on system usage, troubleshooting system problems and establishing procedures for the collection and maintenance of information.  This position interacts with employees and supervisors to ensure proper documentation for records.  This position conducts regular audits to maintain system integrity and generates ad-hoc reports for the organization.  Additionally, this position will serve as our HR systems administrator to ensure proper security and system set up.

 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1.       Oversees, maintains and audits personnel database.

2.       Assist in training other HR staff in usage of database.

3.       Assist in determination of process for collecting personnel information; documenting those procedures and creating paperwork or electronic documents for the collection of information.

4.       Ensures that information is complete and consistent and determines whether further discussion with employees or supervisors is needed or whether personnel information must be checked against additional files or listings. 

5.       Create reports to retrieve strategic information from the personnel system

6.       Assist in the creation of the virtual HR service center on our intranet site and LAN

7.       Maintain appropriate and legally required postings for bulletin boards and advise other physical locations on changes which need to be made

8.       Completes employment verification

9.       Back-up coverage for switchboard.

Minimum jOB Requirements: (Education, Experience, Skills)

·         Prefer previous experience with ADP or other automated payroll and Human Resources database

·         Advanced Excel and Access skills

·         Intermediate Visio, Word, and PowerPoint skills

·         Strong analytical, problem solving skills required including competency with mathematics and logic

·         High school degree required; some college preferred

·         Knowledge of benefit laws and regulations preferred

·         Demonstrates high level of professionalism and confidentiality

·         Decision making ability to select appropriate precedent rules, or procedures from a number of alternatives.

·         Organized, flexible, detail-oriented, performs tasks simultaneously, knows how to prioritize
