Job Description

The primary role of the Customer Service - Accounts Receivable is to review unpaid, underpaid, denied or unresolved insurance balance patient accounts submitted to various health care payers. What would you be doing?

Accurately process a minimum of 20 claims per day

Review insurance balance patient accounts online in various hospital patient accounting systems to determine status of claims with various payers as assigned (Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, or Specialty Payers)

Send claims requiring billing or rebilling to biller for submission and retrieve necessary supporting documents

Identify errors on claim forms that prevent the claim from being paid

Follow up on claims to expedite payment

Post adjustments and resolve credit balances within the scope of the project

Resolve rejections and denials through corrections and appeals

What are we looking for?

Great PC skills with data entry using multiple applications

Minimum 6 months call center experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

1 year of hospital billing and/or Medicare/Medicaid claim resolution / follow up experience  

Understanding of revenue cycle process and billing policies for healthcare providers

Shift Flexibility – Our customers need help Monday to Friday 6am-4pm
