Job Description

The Information Security & Compliance Specialist is responsible to provide appropriate access to and protect the confidentiality and integrity of customer, employee, and business information in compliance with organization policies and standards.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • HealthCare Compliance – performing compliance duties related to healthcare compliance.
  • Writing and updating Policies and Procedures
  • Business Continuity / Risk Management
  • Security Training – ensuring all sites are in compliance with all security training
  • Access Management – for their respective areas – ensuring all sites are verifying access every month
  • Conduct Vulnerability scanning
  • Conduct system log reviews
  • Assisting Information Security and Compliance Officer with audit prep – for their respective areas
  • Physical Security Audit – performing the physical security for their perspective areas on an annual basis
  • Monthly Security Bulletins and checklists
  • Coordinates activities related to audits for annual compliance as listed below:
    • FISMA-NIST
    • GLBA
    • HIPAA
    • ISAE 3402/3412
    • ISO 27001
    • ISO 9001
    • PCI DSS 3.2
    • SSAE16
    • SOX

Minimum jOB Requirements: (Education, Experience, Skills)

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 1-3 years of previous Information Security or Compliance experience required
  • Proficiency with office automation tools, especially Windows and MS Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at any level of the organization
  • Self-starter with a willingness to ask questions and actively seek out answers
  • Ability to work closely with others as a solid team player
  • A positive attitude and ability to handle stress in a fast-paced environment
  • SSCP Certification or other Information Security Certification is an advantage[RP1]
